The Mix books have proven to be fun books for tweens, and I have most of them in my classroom library. I was excited to see that there will be some new additions coming out this year by some of the same authors. I just saw the Devon Delaney sequel on Amazon. In The Secret Identity of Devon Delaney I was cringing with Devon's decisions that kept on digging her into a bigger hole. With a sequel title like Devon Delaney Should Totally Know Better, I can already tell that I need to prepare myself for the trouble Devon will be getting herself in. Amazon lists the release date as September 09.
I also recently noticed on Tricia Rayburn's blog the cover for the latest in her Maggie Bean series, Maggie Bean in Love. I reviewed The Melting of Maggie Bean last summer. Some of my students will be reading it in book clubs later this spring, and I am excited to see what they think of the book. I also bought Maggie Bean Stays Afloat, but I have not read it yet. I will have to do so before the release of the third book.
