Sharon Creech is another one of those authors who I get excited whenever I see that she has a new book out. I started reading middle grades/young adult novels when my cooperating teacher during student teaching recommended it was important to know the books that our students read. Bloomability was one of the first books I read. It sparked my interest in the joys of reading these genres as an adult.
Recently on a blog I heard about her latest book, The Unfinished Angel, and I went right to Amazon to order it. Zola, the main character, has just moved to Switzerland with her father to start an international school. Even though most people cannot see the angel who lives in the tower of her house, Zola can. The angel tells the story of how Zola changed the angel and the other people in the community. As with Creech's other books, I fell in love with the characters and magical world she created. I know a lot of my students who are also Creech fans will be excited to have this addition to our classroom library.
